Žydrūnas Savickas
Žydrūnas Savickas (born 15 July 1975) is a Lithuanian professional strongman and powerlifter. He has won the World's Strongest Man competition four times, in 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2014. He is also a five-time winner of the Arnold Strongman Classic, in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2008.
Savickas was born in Biržai, Lithuania. He began competing in strongman competitions in 1992, and quickly rose to the top of the sport. He won his first World's Strongest Man title in 2009, and has since become one of the most dominant strongmen in history.
Savickas is known for his incredible strength and size. He is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs over 300 pounds. He is also known for his ability to perform feats of strength that are beyond the capabilities of most people. For example, he has deadlifted 900 pounds, bench-pressed 700 pounds, and squatted 800 pounds.
In addition to his strongman career, Savickas has also competed in powerlifting. He holds the Lithuanian national record in the deadlift, with a lift of 900 pounds. He has also competed in the World Powerlifting Championships, where he finished second in 2005.
Savickas is a highly decorated athlete. He has won numerous awards, including the Lithuanian Sportsman of the Year award in 2009 and 2010. He has also been inducted into the Lithuanian Sports Hall of Fame.
