Vaimalama Chaves

Vaimalama Chaves (born December 3, 1994) is a French model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss France 2019. She is the second woman from Tahiti to win the Miss France pageant, after Maeva Coucke in 2018.

Chaves was born on the island of Tahiti, which is part of French Polynesia. She grew up in a small village and attended high school in Papeete, the capital of Tahiti. She moved to mainland France in 2014 to study law at the University of Rennes.
