Luis Alberto Suárez Díaz (born 24 January 1987) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a striker for Spanish club Atlético Madrid, on loan from FC Barcelona, and the Uruguay national team. Widely regarded as one of the best players of his generation, Suárez has won numerous accolades throughout his career, including the Premier League Golden Boot twice, the European Golden Shoe once, and the Pichichi Trophy once. Early Life and Career
Suárez was born in Salto, Uruguay, and began his career with hometown club Nacional in 2005.
