Pantelis Pantelidis
Pantelis Pantelidis (Greek: Παντελής Παντελίδης; 23 November 1983 – 18 February 2016) was a popular Greek folk singer and songwriter. His style of music was mostly modern laiko with elements of laiko and rock.
Pantelidis was born and raised in Nea Ionia, a suburb of Athens, Greece. He began singing at a young age and participated in various local festivals. In 2008, he released his debut album, Oute Ena Asteri, which was a commercial success. His next album, To Onoma Mou Einai Pantelis Pantelidis, was released in 2010 and was even more successful, selling over 100,000 copies.
Pantelidis's music was characterized by its catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and emotional performances. He was also known for his energetic live shows. He toured extensively throughout Greece and Cyprus and also performed in several other countries, including the United States, Canada, and Australia.
Pantelidis was one of the most popular Greek singers of his generation. He received numerous awards, including several Arion Music Awards and a MAD Video Music Award. He was also nominated for a Grammy Award in 2015.
On 18 February 2016, Pantelidis was killed in a car accident in Athens. He was 32 years old. His death shocked and saddened many people in Greece and around the world.
