Early Life and Career

Elvana Gjata was born on February 3, 1987, in Tirana, Albania. She began her music career in 2001 when she participated in the Albanian children's singing competition "Festivali i Këngës për Fëmijë". Gjata won the competition with her song "Fëmijët e lumturisë" ("Happy Children").

In 2003, Gjata released her debut studio album, "Mamës". The album was a commercial success in Albania and spawned the hit singles "Mamës" and "Afër dhe larg" ("Near and Far").

In 2005, Gjata represented Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Me ik më shumë" ("Don't Love Me More"). She finished 16th in the competition.

Breakthrough and Success

Gjata's breakthrough came in 2007 with the release of her second studio album, "Baciami adesso" ("Kiss Me Now"). The album was a commercial success in Albania and spawned the hit singles "Baciami adesso", "Pse Më Lë (Sytë)" ("Why Did You Leave Me (My Eyes)"), and "Një ditë në vit" ("One Day in a Year").

In 2009, Gjata released her fourth studio album, "Ajo çka unë jam" ("What I Am"). The album was a commercial success in Albania and spawned the hit singles "Ajo çka unë jam", "Njësoj" ("The Same"), and "Gjëra të vogla" ("Small Things").

In 2010, Gjata released her fifth studio album, "Me Ty" ("With You"). The album was a commercial success in Albania and spawned the hit singles "Me Ty", "Një makinë" ("A Car"), and "Kjo është jeta" ("This Is Life").

In 2011, Gjata released her sixth studio album, "In Love". The album was a commercial success in Albania and spawned the hit singles "In Love", "Perëndia na ndau" ("God Separated Us"), and "Ti je gjithçka" ("You Are Everything").
