Felipe Caicedo

Felipe Caicedo Corozo (born 5 September 1988) is an Ecuadorian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Saudi Pro League club Abha.

Caicedo began his career at Rocafuerte in 2005. In 2006, he moved to Basel, where he scored 24 goals in 45 appearances. In 2008, he joined Manchester City for a fee of £3.5 million. He failed to make an impact at City, scoring just two goals in 23 appearances. In 2009, he was loaned to Sporting Lisbon, where he scored five goals in 15 appearances.

In 2010, Caicedo joined Levante on loan. He scored six goals in 32 appearances for the club. In 2011, he joined Lokomotiv Moscow for a fee of €8 million. He scored 29 goals in 83 appearances for the club. In 2014, he joined Al-Jazira for a fee of €9 million. He scored 18 goals in 47 appearances for the club.

In 2016, Caicedo joined Espanyol on loan. He scored four goals in 14 appearances for the club. In 2017, he joined Lazio for a fee of €2.5 million. He scored 28 goals in 109 appearances for the club. In 2020, he joined Genoa on loan. He scored nine goals in 35 appearances for the club.

In 2021, Caicedo joined Abha on a free transfer.

Caicedo has made 85 appearances for the Ecuador national team, scoring 24 goals. He was a member of the Ecuador squad at the 2006, 2014, and 2018 FIFA World Cups.

Caicedo is a powerful and athletic forward. He is good in the air and has a strong shot. He is also a good dribbler and passer.

Caicedo is married to Maria Fernanda Ponce. They have two children together.
