Philipp Lahm (born 11 November 1983) is a German former professional footballer who played as a right back or defensive midfielder. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest full-backs of all time.
Lahm began his career at Bayern Munich in 2002, making his debut for the first team in 2005. He quickly established himself as a key player for the club, helping them win numerous titles, including eight Bundesliga titles, six DFB-Pokals, and the UEFA Champions League. Lahm also captained Bayern to victory in the 2013 UEFA Super Cup and the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup.
Lahm made his international debut for Germany in 2004 and went on to make 113 appearances for his country. He was a member of the German team that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and he also helped Germany reach the semi-finals of the 2006 and 2010 World Cups and the final of the 2008 European Championship.
