Michael Schumacher was born on January 3, 1969, in Hürth, West Germany. His father, Rolf Schumacher, was a bricklayer, and his mother, Elisabeth Schumacher, was a housewife. Schumacher has one older brother, Ralf, who is also a former racing driver.
