Bonang Matheba: South African Media Personality and Businesswoman
Bonang Dorothy Matheba (born 25 June 1987) is a South African television presenter, radio personality, businesswoman, and philanthropist. She is best known for her work as a presenter on the SABC 1 music show LIVE Amp and the reality television show Tropika Island of Treasure. Matheba has also hosted the Miss South Africa pageant and the South African Music Awards.
Early Life and Career
Bonang Matheba was born in Mafikeng, North West Province, South Africa. She began her career in the entertainment industry as a radio presenter on YFM in 2007. In 2008, she joined SABC 1 as a presenter on the music show LIVE Amp. Matheba quickly became one of the most popular presenters on the show, and she was eventually promoted to co-host.
In 2010, Matheba launched her own clothing line, Bonang Matheba Collection. The line was a success, and it helped to establish Matheba as a fashion icon. In 2011, she was named the face of Revlon South Africa.
Television and Radio Career
In 2012, Matheba left LIVE Amp to join M-Net as a presenter on the reality television show Tropika Island of Treasure. The show was a success, and it helped to further increase Matheba's popularity. In 2013, she was named the host of the Miss South Africa pageant.
