Apu Biswas is a Bangladeshi actress and model. She is one of the most successful actresses in the Bengali film industry. She has appeared in over 100 films and has won numerous awards, including the National Film Award for Best Actress.
Biswas was born on June 10, 1979 in Chittagong, Bangladesh. She began her career as a model in 1998. In 2000, she made her acting debut in the film "Kotha Dhaka", which was a commercial success. She went on to appear in several successful films, including "Hridoyer Kotha", "Mayer Chokh", "Ajker Shatru", and "Monpura".
In 2016, Biswas was awarded the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film "Monpura". She is the first actress to win the award for a film in the Chittagong dialect.
Biswas is married to actor Shakib Khan. They have two children together.
