Early life and career
Keshia Knight Pulliam was born in Newark, New Jersey, to James Pulliam, a businessman, and Denise Pulliam, a homemaker. She has two older brothers, James Jr. and Juwan. Pulliam began her acting career at the age of five when she was cast as Rudy Huxtable on the NBC sitcom The Cosby Show. The show ran for eight seasons, from 1984 to 1992, and Pulliam became a household name.
After The Cosby Show ended, Pulliam continued to act in television and film. She had recurring roles on the shows My Wife and Kids, House of Payne, and Tyler Perry's House of Payne. She also starred in the films The Little Rascals (1994), Madea Goes to Jail (2009), and Madea's Witness Protection (2012).
Personal life
Pulliam married former NFL player Ed Hartwell in 2016. The couple had a daughter, Ella Grace Hartwell, in 2017. Pulliam and Hartwell divorced in 2018.
