Jeremy Lee Renner (born January 7, 1971) is an American actor. He is known for his roles as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Aaron Cross in the Bourne film series, and William Brandt in the Mission: Impossible film series. Renner has been nominated for two Academy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and a BAFTA Award.
Renner was born in Modesto, California, to Valerie Cearley, a homemaker, and Lee Renner, a logger. He has four siblings: two older brothers, two older sisters, and a younger brother. Renner attended Modesto Junior College for two years before dropping out to pursue a career in acting.
Renner began his acting career in the early 1990s, appearing in small roles in television shows and films. He made his film debut in the 1995 comedy National Lampoon's Senior Trip.
