Gary Rowett (born 26 March 1978) is an English professional football manager and former player who played as a defender. He is the manager of League One club Millwall.

Playing career:

Rowett began his playing career at Birmingham City, making his debut in 1995. He spent six years at the club, making over 100 appearances. He then moved to Oxford United, where he spent two years before joining Burton Albion in 2003. He helped Burton win promotion to the Football League Two in 2009. He then moved to Derby County in 2010, where he spent two years before joining Coventry City in 2012. He finished his playing career at Leicester City in 2013.

Managerial career:

Rowett began his managerial career at Burton Albion in 2013. He led the club to promotion to the Football League One in 2015. He then moved to Birmingham City in 2016, where he spent two years. He then moved to Derby County in 2018, where he spent one year. He then moved to Millwall in 2019, where he remains today.
