Sonam Kapoor is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films. One of the highest-paid actresses in India, she has received several awards, including a National Film Award and a Filmfare Award.

Kapoor was born in Mumbai to actor Anil Kapoor and businesswoman Sunita Kapoor. She attended the Arya Vidya Mandir School in Mumbai and later studied economics and political science at the University of Delhi. Kapoor began her acting career in 2007 with the romantic drama Saawariya. She went on to star in several commercially successful films, including Delhi-6 (2009), I Hate Luv Storys (2010), Aisha (2010), Raanjhanaa (2013), Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013), Khoobsurat (2014), Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015), Neerja (2016), and Veere Di Wedding (2018).

Kapoor has also been praised for her work in independent films, such as Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (2019), The Zoya Factor (2019), and AK vs AK (2020). She has also produced several films, including Khoobsurat (2014) and Veere Di Wedding (2018).

Outside of acting, Kapoor is known for her fashion sense and has been featured on the covers of several magazines, including Vogue India, Elle India, and Harper's Bazaar India. She is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

In 2018, Kapoor married businessman Anand Ahuja. The couple have one son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, who was born in 2022.
