Neha Kakkar is an Indian singer. She began her career in 2006 by participating in the reality show Indian Idol 2. She gained popularity by singing a number of hit songs such as "Second Hand Jawaani", "Sunny Sunny", and "Aao Raja". In 2014, she became a judge on the reality show Indian Idol Junior. She has also appeared in several Bollywood films, including "Yaariyan" (2014), "Dilwale" (2015), and "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" (2017).

Early life and career

Neha Kakkar was born on 6 June 1988 in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. She is the daughter of Nitesh Kakkar and Sonu Kakkar. She has a younger sister, Sonakshi Kakkar, who is also a singer.

Kakkar began singing at the age of four. She participated in a number of local singing competitions and won several awards. In 2006, she auditioned for the reality show Indian Idol 2. She was selected for the show and finished in eighth place.

Rise to fame

After Indian Idol 2, Kakkar began singing playback for Bollywood films. She sang the song "Second Hand Jawaani" for the film "Cocktail" (2012), which became a hit. She also sang the song "Sunny Sunny" for the film "Yaariyan" (2014), which also became a hit.

In 2014, Kakkar became a judge on the reality show Indian Idol Junior. She has also appeared in several Bollywood films, including "Dilwale" (2015) and "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" (2017).

Personal life

In 2020, Kakkar married singer Rohanpreet Singh. The couple met on the set of the reality show Indian Idol 12, where Kakkar was a judge and Singh was a contestant.
