Dara Singh Randhawa (19 November 1928 – 12 July 2012) was an Indian professional wrestler, actor, and politician. He was also known as the "Rustom-e-Hind", the "Indian Hercules", and the "King Kong of India". Singh was one of the most popular wrestlers in India during the 1950s and 1960s. He is credited with popularizing wrestling in India and is considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

Singh was born on 19 November 1928 in Dharmuchak, Amritsar district, Punjab, India. He was the son of Surat Singh and Balwant Kaur. Singh had a difficult childhood and was forced to work as a child laborer to support his family. He eventually ran away from home and joined the Indian Army. Singh served in the army for seven years and was stationed in various parts of India. He also competed in wrestling competitions while serving in the army.

After leaving the army, Singh moved to Mumbai and began his professional wrestling career. He quickly rose to fame and became one of the most popular wrestlers in India. Singh was known for his strength and his signature moves, such as the "flying dropkick" and the "cobra clutch". He also starred in several films, including "King Kong" (1962) and "Rustom-e-Hind" (1965).

Singh retired from wrestling in 1983. He then entered politics and was elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament, in 1996. Singh served as a member of Parliament for five years. He died on 12 July 2012 at the age of 83.
