Lil Kleine
Lil Kleine, born Jorik Scholten on October 15, 1994, is a Dutch rapper, singer, and songwriter. He rose to fame in the Netherlands in 2015 with his hit single "Drank & Drugs" featuring Ronnie Flex. Since then, he has released three studio albums, all of which have reached the top of the Dutch Album Top 100 chart.
Lil Kleine's music is often characterized by its catchy melodies, hard-hitting beats, and explicit lyrics. He has been praised for his unique flow and his ability to connect with his audience. However, he has also been criticized for his lyrics, which have been accused of being misogynistic and violent.
In 2019, Lil Kleine was involved in a highly publicized domestic violence incident with his then-girlfriend, influencer Jaimie Vaes. He was arrested and charged with assault, but the charges were later dropped after Vaes withdrew her complaint. The incident led to a great deal of public scrutiny and criticism of Lil Kleine, and he was temporarily banned from performing at several music festivals.
Despite the controversy, Lil Kleine remains one of the most popular rappers in the Netherlands. He continues to release new music and tour extensively. In 2021, he released his third studio album, "Ibiza Stories," which debuted at number one on the Dutch Album Top 100 chart.
Lil Kleine is a controversial figure, but he is also a talented musician with a large following. His music has been praised for its catchy melodies and hard-hitting beats, and he has been able to connect with his audience in a way that few other Dutch rappers have.
