Ville Valo
Ville Hermanni Valo (born 22 November 1976) is a Finnish singer, musician and songwriter. He is best known as the lead singer and songwriter of the Finnish rock band HIM. Valo has also contributed to other projects, such as the supergroup Agents.
Valo was born in Helsinki, Finland, and raised in Espoo. He began his music career in the early 1990s, playing in various local bands. In 1995, he co-founded HIM, which quickly became one of the most popular rock bands in Finland. HIM has released eight studio albums, and has sold over 10 million records worldwide.
Valo is known for his distinctive singing voice and his dark, introspective lyrics. He has been praised for his songwriting ability, and has been compared to such artists as Ian Curtis and Jim Morrison. In addition to his music career, Valo has also appeared in several films and television shows.
In 2017, HIM announced that they would be disbanding after 26 years. Valo has since continued to work on other projects, including a solo album.
Personal life
Valo has been in a relationship with Finnish model Sandra Mittica since 2017. He has a daughter, Luna, from a previous relationship.
Valo is a private person and does not often discuss his personal life in public. He is known for his sense of humor and his love of black clothes.
