Suzy Nakamura is an American actress. She is known for her roles as Nurse Laverne Roberts in the medical drama Scrubs, Agent Miho in the action comedy film Rush Hour 3, and Yuri in the science fiction thriller film The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
Nakamura was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Japanese parents. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in psychology. After college, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.
Nakamura's first acting role was in a 1998 episode of the television series ER. She went on to appear in a number of other television shows, including The X-Files, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and How I Met Your Mother. She also had a recurring role as Nurse Laverne Roberts in the medical drama Scrubs.
In 2007, Nakamura made her film debut in the action comedy film Rush Hour 3. She played Agent Miho, a Japanese police officer who helps Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan track down a Chinese crime lord. In 2006, she had a supporting role in the science fiction thriller film The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
Nakamura has also appeared in a number of stage productions. She made her Broadway debut in 2009 in the play The Glass Menagerie. She also starred in the off-Broadway production of The Great Wall at the Wilma Theater.
Nakamura is married to actor Matthew Rhys. They have one child together.
