Eleni Foureira
Eleni Foureira (Greek: Ελένη Φουρέιρα; born 7 March 1987) is a Greek singer and dancer. She rose to fame in Greece after participating in the Greek talent show Fame Story 3 in 2004. She has since released four studio albums, all of which have been certified platinum in Greece. Foureira has also represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest twice, in 2010 and 2018. In 2018, she finished second with the song "Fuego", which became a hit across Europe.
Foureira was born in Fier, Albania, to Greek parents. She moved to Greece with her family when she was five years old. She began her music career in 2004, when she participated in the Greek talent show Fame Story 3. She finished in second place, and her debut album, My Club, was released the following year. The album was certified platinum in Greece and spawned the hit singles "Kapou Ston Kosmo" and "To Thima".
Foureira's second album, Ti Poniro Mou Zitas, was released in 2007. The album was also certified platinum in Greece and spawned the hit singles "Ta Savvatovradia" and "Mitsi Mitsi". In 2010, Foureira released her third album, Vasilissa tis Nyhtas. The album was certified platinum in Greece and spawned the hit singles "Chica Bomb" and "Vasilissa tis Nyhtas".
In 2010, Foureira represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Opa!". She finished eighth in the final. In 2018, Foureira represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest again with the song "Fuego". She finished second in the final, with 281 points. The song became a hit across Europe, reaching the top 10 in many countries.
Foureira's fourth studio album, Poli Ammo, was released in 2019. The album was certified platinum in Greece and spawned the hit singles "Mono Gia Sena" and "Caramela".
Foureira is a popular singer and dancer in Greece and across Europe. She has won numerous awards, including the MAD Video Music Award for Best Female Artist and the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Greek Act.
