Franco Cervi
Franco Cervi (born 26 May 1994) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a winger for Spanish club Celta Vigo and the Argentina national team.
Club career
Cervi began his career at Rosario Central, where he made his professional debut in the Argentine Primera División in 2014. He quickly established himself as a key player for the club, scoring 10 goals in 63 appearances. In 2016, he helped Rosario Central win the Copa Argentina, the club's first major trophy in 18 years.
In 2017, Cervi moved to Portuguese club Benfica for a fee of €13.5 million. He made his debut for the club in the Primeira Liga on 9 August 2017, and scored his first goal for the club on 20 August 2017. Cervi quickly became a regular starter for Benfica, and helped the club win the Primeira Liga title in 2018–19.
In 2019, Cervi moved to Spanish club Celta Vigo for a fee of €10 million. He made his debut for the club in La Liga on 17 August 2019, and scored his first goal for the club on 21 September 2019. Cervi has been a regular starter for Celta Vigo, and has helped the club finish in the top half of the table in each of his first two seasons at the club.
International career
Cervi made his debut for the Argentina national team on 13 June 2018, in a friendly match against Estonia. He has since been capped 10 times for his country, and was part of the Argentina squad that won the 2019 Copa América.
Playing style
Cervi is a versatile player who can play as a winger or as a central attacking midfielder. He is a good dribbler and passer, and has a good eye for goal. Cervi is also known for his work ethic and his ability to track back and help out defensively.
