Reda Kateb (born January 14, 1977) is a French actor. He is best known for his roles in the films Zero Dark Thirty (2012), A Prophet (2009), and Timbuktu (2014).
Kateb was born in Ivry-sur-Seine, France, to Algerian parents. He began his acting career in the early 2000s, appearing in small roles in French films and television shows. He gained wider recognition for his role in the 2009 film A Prophet, for which he won the César Award for Most Promising Actor.
In 2012, Kateb starred in the Academy Award-winning film Zero Dark Thirty, in which he played the role of a Pakistani intelligence officer. He also appeared in the 2014 film Timbuktu, which won the César Award for Best Film.
Kateb has continued to work in both French and international films. In 2016, he starred in the film The Salesman, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. He also appeared in the 2017 film Wonder Woman.
Kateb is a highly acclaimed actor who has received numerous awards for his work. He is one of the most popular and respected actors in France.
