Biography:
Mahmudullah Riyad is a Bangladeshi cricketer who represents the Bangladesh national cricket team in all formats of the game. He is a right-hand batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. Mahmudullah made his international debut for Bangladesh in a Twenty20 International match against Kenya in December 2006. He made his ODI debut in March 2007 against Zimbabwe and his Test debut in May 2009 against the West Indies.
Mahmudullah has been a consistent performer for Bangladesh in all formats of the game. He has scored over 5,000 runs in ODIs, over 2,000 runs in Tests, and over 1,000 runs in T20Is. He has also taken over 100 wickets in ODIs and over 50 wickets in Tests.
In 2015, Mahmudullah was appointed as the captain of the Bangladesh ODI team. He led the team to victory in the 2015 Asia Cup and the 2016 Asia Cup Qualifier. He also led the team to their first-ever Test victory against England in 2016.
In 2017, Mahmudullah was appointed as the captain of the Bangladesh Test team. He led the team to their first-ever Test series win against Australia in 2017. He also led the team to their first-ever Test series win against South Africa in 2018.
