Keylor Navas

Keylor Antonio Navas Gamboa (born December 15, 1986) is a Costa Rican professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Costa Rica national team.

Club career

Navas began his career with Deportivo Saprissa in his native Costa Rica, winning six league titles and the CONCACAF Champions League once. In 2010, he moved to Albacete in Spain, and after two seasons joined Levante. In 2014, he signed for Real Madrid, where he won two La Liga titles, three UEFA Champions Leagues, three UEFA Super Cups, and three FIFA Club World Cups. In 2019, he joined Paris Saint-Germain, winning three Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France titles, and a Coupe de la Ligue title.

International career

Navas made his senior debut for Costa Rica in 2008, and has since earned over 100 caps. He was a member of the Costa Rica squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and was named the FIFA World Cup Golden Glove award winner as the tournament's best goalkeeper. He also represented Costa Rica at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Personal life

Navas is married to Andrea Salas, a former model and TV presenter. They have three children together. Navas is a devout Christian and is known for his charitable work.

Playing style

Navas is a goalkeeper who is known for his quick reflexes, agility, and shot-stopping ability. He is also a good distributor of the ball and is comfortable playing with his feet.
