Zlatan Ibrahimović
Zlatan Ibrahimović is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club AC Milan and the Sweden national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest strikers of his generation, Ibrahimović is known for his goalscoring prowess, technique, creativity, and brash personality.
Born in Malmö, Sweden, to Bosnian and Croatian parents, Ibrahimović began his career at local club Malmö FF. He moved to Ajax in the Netherlands in 2001, where he won the Eredivisie title in his first season. He then spent two seasons with Juventus in Italy, winning two Serie A titles. In 2006, he joined Inter Milan, where he won three consecutive Serie A titles and the Champions League in 2010.
In 2009, Ibrahimović moved to Barcelona in a deal that saw Samuel Eto'o move to Inter. However, he struggled to adapt to Barcelona's style of play and returned to Italy the following year, joining AC Milan. He won the Serie A title in his first season with Milan and was the league's top scorer the following season.
In 2012, Ibrahimović joined Paris Saint-Germain, where he won four consecutive Ligue 1 titles and three Coupes de France. He also scored a record 38 goals in the 2015-16 season, helping PSG become the first French club to reach the Champions League final.
In 2016, Ibrahimović joined Manchester United, where he won the EFL Cup and the UEFA Europa League. He then spent two seasons with the LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer, scoring 53 goals in 58 appearances.
In 2020, Ibrahimović returned to AC Milan, where he has won another Serie A title and been named the league's top scorer. He has also helped Milan reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Ibrahimović has made over 100 appearances for the Sweden national team and is their all-time top goalscorer with 62 goals. He has represented Sweden at four major tournaments: the 2002, 2006, and 2014 FIFA World Cups, and the 2004, 2008, and 2012 UEFA European Championships.
Ibrahimović is a controversial figure, known for his outspoken personality and confrontational style of play. He has been involved in several high-profile incidents, including a training ground fight with teammate Oguchi Onyewu in 2010 and a public spat with then-Manchester United manager José Mourinho in 2018.
Despite his controversies, Ibrahimović is one of the most decorated and successful footballers of his generation. He has won 31 major trophies in his career, including 13 league titles, three domestic cups, and four continental cups. He has also been named Player of the Year in Sweden, Italy, France, and England.
