Luhan

Lu Han (born April 20, 1990), also known mononymously as Luhan, is a Chinese singer and actor. He is a former member of the South Korean-Chinese boy group Exo and its sub-unit Exo-M.

Early life and education

Lu Han was born in Haidian District, Beijing, China. He attended Beijing Shida Middle School and Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Shi Yan School. In 2008, he was admitted to the Seoul Institute of the Arts, majoring in applied music.

Career

2011–2014: Exo and solo activities

In 2011, Lu Han was scouted by S.M. Entertainment while attending a talent show in Shenzhen, China. He was later cast as a member of Exo, a South Korean-Chinese boy group formed by S.M. Entertainment. The group debuted on April 8, 2012, with the EP Mama.

In October 2014, Lu Han filed a lawsuit against S.M. Entertainment to terminate his contract with the company, claiming that the company had mistreated him and violated his rights. The lawsuit was settled in January 2015, with Lu Han leaving Exo and S.M. Entertainment.

2015–present: Solo career

After leaving Exo, Lu Han signed with the Chinese entertainment company Yuehua Entertainment. He released his debut solo EP, Reloaded, on September 10, 2015. The EP was a commercial success, selling over 1 million copies in China.

Lu Han has since released several other solo albums and EPs, including Xperience (2015), Lu (2016), and Shanghai (2017). He has also starred in several films and television dramas, including 20 Once Again (2015), Time Raiders (2016), and The Great Wall (2016).

Personal life

In October 2017, Lu Han announced that he was in a relationship with Chinese actress Guan Xiaotong. The couple has been together ever since.
