Mohamed Farah

Sir Mohamed Muktar Jama Farah, CBE (born 23 March 1983) is a British long-distance runner who has won four Olympic and six world championship gold medals in the 5,000 metres and 10,000 metres events. He is the most successful male British track athlete in Olympic history.

Farah was born in Mogadishu, Somalia, and moved to the United Kingdom at the age of eight. He began running competitively in his early teens and quickly rose through the ranks. He won his first major international title at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, where he won the 5,000 metres gold medal.
