Fann Wong
Fann Wong (born 27 January 1971) is a Singaporean actress, singer and model. She is one of Singapore's most popular and highest-paid actresses, having starred in numerous television dramas and films.
Early life and career
Fann Wong was born in Singapore on 27 January 1971. She is the youngest of four children. Her father was a businessman and her mother was a homemaker. Wong attended CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School and Singapore Polytechnic, where she studied mass communications.
Wong began her career in the entertainment industry as a model in 1988, when she was 17 years old. She went on to star in her first television drama, "The Price of Peace", in 1990. In 1994, she made her film debut in "The Teenage Teacher".
Acting career
Wong has starred in numerous television dramas and films in both Singapore and China. Some of her most popular television dramas include "The Return of the Condor Heroes" (1998), "Romance in the Rain" (2001) and "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" (2017). She has also starred in several films, including "The Teenage Teacher" (1994), "The Soong Sisters" (1997) and "Little Nonya" (2005).
Wong has won numerous awards for her acting, including the Star Award for Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes and the Golden Horse Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, both of which she won multiple times.
Singing career
Wong has also released several albums in Mandarin and English. Her most popular albums include "Fann Wong" (1994), "Fann Wong II" (1996) and "Fann Wong III" (1998). She has also collaborated with other artists on several songs, including "The Moon Represents My Heart" with Jeff Chang and "Love Is Not a Game" with Christopher Lee.
Modeling career
Wong has also appeared in numerous advertisements for various products and services. She has also been featured on the covers of magazines such as Time, Newsweek and Elle.
Personal life
Wong married Christopher Lee, also a Singaporean actor, in 2009. The couple have one child, a son born in 2014.
