Siam Ahmed
Siam Ahmed is a Bangladeshi-American actor, model, and television personality. He is known for his roles in the films Dukhtar (2014), The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2012), and The Girl in the Red Scarf (2013). He has also appeared in the television series Quantico (2015-2018), The OA (2016-2019), and The Witcher (2019-present).
Ahmed was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and raised in Queens, New York. He studied at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, and later attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
Ahmed began his acting career in 2010, appearing in the short film The Taqwacores. He then went on to star in the films Dukhtar (2014), The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2012), and The Girl in the Red Scarf (2013). In 2015, he joined the cast of the ABC drama series Quantico, playing the role of Nimah Amin. He remained on the show for three seasons, until its cancellation in 2018.
In 2016, Ahmed appeared in the Netflix original series The OA, playing the role of Hap. He also had a recurring role in the NBC drama series The Blacklist. In 2019, he joined the cast of the Netflix original series The Witcher, playing the role of Dara.
Ahmed has received critical acclaim for his work. He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Drama in 2016 for his role in The OA. He was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2019 for his role in The Witcher.
Ahmed is a vocal advocate for social justice. He is a member of the board of directors of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and has spoken out against Islamophobia and racism. He is also a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community.
