Demi Gene Guynes (born November 11, 1962), known professionally as Demi Moore, is an American actress, producer, and former model. She rose to fame in the 1980s for her roles in films such as St. Elmo's Fire (1985), About Last Night... (1986), and Ghost (1990). Moore continued to star in successful films throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, including A Few Good Men (1992), Indecent Proposal (1993), Disclosure (1994), and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003).

Moore was born in Roswell, New Mexico, to Charles Harmon, an Air Force airman, and Virginia King, a homemaker. Her parents divorced when she was young, and Moore was raised by her mother and stepfather, Danny Guynes. Moore attended Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, California, but dropped out at the age of 16 to pursue a career in modeling.
