Denis Bouanga is a Gabonese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Saint-Étienne on loan from Chinese Super League club Shenzhen.
Bouanga began his career with Le Mans, making his debut in 2012. He then had spells with Lorient, Tours and Nîmes before joining Saint-Étienne in 2019. He has also represented Gabon at international level, making his debut in 2016.
Bouanga is a versatile player who can play on either wing or as a central striker. He is known for his pace, skill and eye for goal.
In the 2019–20 season, Bouanga had a breakthrough season with Saint-Étienne, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists in 30 league appearances. He was named Ligue 1 Player of the Month for November 2019.
In the 2020–21 season, Bouanga continued to be a key player for Saint-Étienne, scoring 9 goals and providing 4 assists in 32 league appearances.
In the 2021–22 season, Bouanga joined Shenzhen FC on loan, where he scored 4 goals in 14 league appearances.
In the 2022–23 season, Bouanga returned to Saint-Étienne on loan.

Bouanga made his debut for Gabon in 2016. He was part of the Gabonese squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
