Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant Singh Rajput (21 January 1986 – 14 June 2020) was an Indian actor. He started his career with television serials before rising to fame in Bollywood films. Rajput was known for his portrayal of characters based on real-life figures, including cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the 2016 biographical sports drama M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, mathematician Anand Kumar in the 2017 biographical drama Super 30, and astronaut Rakesh Sharma in the 2019 biographical drama Chhichhore.

Rajput was born in Patna, Bihar, and was raised in Delhi. He studied engineering at the Delhi College of Engineering but dropped out to pursue a career in acting. He made his acting debut in the television serial Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008) and went on to star in several other successful television shows, including Pavitra Rishta (2009-2011) and Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan (2013-2014).

In 2013, Rajput made his Bollywood debut in the romantic comedy Kai Po Che!. He went on to star in several commercially successful films, including Shuddh Desi Romance (2013), Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015), M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), Raabta (2017), Kedarnath (2018), Sonchiriya (2019), Chichore (2019), and Drive (2019).

Rajput was praised for his acting skills and was often compared to the late actor Heath Ledger. He was also known for his philanthropic work and his support for social causes.
