Cheryl Hines

Cheryl Ruth Hines (born September 21, 1965) is an American actress and comedian. She gained recognition for her role as Larry David's wife Cheryl on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2003. She also starred in the ABC sitcom Suburgatory and had recurring roles on the NBC sitcoms Friends and Arrested Development.

Hines has appeared in numerous films, including RV (2006), Waitress (2007), The Grand (2007), Serious Moonlight (2009), and Look at Me (2009). She has also directed several episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and the web series The Comeback.

Early life and education

Hines was born in Miami Beach, Florida, to James and Rosemary Hines. She has an older brother, James Jr. Hines grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, where she attended Leon High School. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in theater.

Career

After graduating from college, Hines moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. She began her career with small roles in television shows and films. In 1999, she was cast as Larry David's wife Cheryl on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. The show was a critical and commercial success, and Hines received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2003. She remained on the show until it ended in 2011.

While working on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hines also appeared in several films. She had supporting roles in RV (2006), Waitress (2007), The Grand (2007), Serious Moonlight (2009), and Look at Me (2009). She also starred in the ABC sitcom Suburgatory, which ran from 2011 to 2014.

In addition to her acting work, Hines has also directed several episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and the web series The Comeback. She also hosted the reality competition series Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris in 2015.

Personal life

Hines was married to comedian Paul Reiser from 1992 to 1997. They had one child together, a son named Evan. Hines is currently married to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom she married in 2014.
