Dominic Thiem was born on September 3, 1993 in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. He began playing tennis at the age of six and turned pro in 2011. Thiem quickly rose through the ranks, reaching the semifinals of the French Open in 2016 and the final of the US Open in 2018. He won his first Grand Slam title at the US Open in 2020, defeating Alexander Zverev in the final.
