Shazia Marri is a British journalist and newsreader who works for Sky News. She has worked for the station since 2007, and is currently a presenter on the channel's breakfast show, Sunrise.
Early life and education Marri was born in London to Pakistani parents. She grew up in the city and attended the London School of Economics, where she studied economics and politics.
Career Marri began her career in journalism as a researcher for the BBC. She then worked as a producer for ITN before joining Sky News in 2007.
Marri has presented a variety of programmes for Sky News, including Sunrise, Sky News at Noon, and Sky News at 10. She has also reported from a number of locations around the world, including the United States, Europe, and Asia.
In 2019, Marri was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award for Best News Presenter.
Personal life Marri is married to fellow Sky News presenter Dermot Murnaghan. The couple have two children.
