Early life

Kelly Brianne Clarkson was born on April 24, 1982, in Fort Worth, Texas. She is the daughter of Jeanne Taylor and Stephen Michael Clarkson. Clarkson has two older brothers, Jason and Ryan, and a younger sister, Alyssa. She was raised in Burleson, Texas, and attended Pauline Hughs Middle School and Burleson High School.

Career

Clarkson rose to fame in 2002 after winning the first season of the American Idol television series. She has since released eight studio albums, all of which have been certified platinum or higher in the United States. Clarkson has also won three Grammy Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, and four American Music Awards.

Personal life

Clarkson was married to music manager Brandon Blackstock from 2013 to 2020. They have two children together, River Rose Blackstock (born 2014) and Remington Alexander Blackstock (born 2016). Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock in June 2020.
