Rodrigo Bentancur

Rodrigo Bentancur Colman (born 25 June 1997) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie A club Juventus and the Uruguay national team.

Bentancur began his career at Boca Juniors in Argentina in 2015, before joining Juventus in 2017. He has won three Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia titles, and one Supercoppa Italiana title with Juventus.

Bentancur made his senior debut for Uruguay in 2017. He was part of the Uruguayan squad that finished fourth at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Early life and career

Bentancur was born in Nueva Helvecia, Uruguay. He began playing football at the age of five and joined the youth academy of Boca Juniors in Argentina in 2011. He made his professional debut for Boca Juniors in 2015 and quickly established himself as a regular starter for the club.

Juventus

In 2017, Bentancur joined Juventus for a fee of €9 million. He made his debut for Juventus in a Serie A match against Udinese on 19 August 2017. He scored his first goal for Juventus in a Coppa Italia match against Genoa on 13 January 2018.
