Personal life Gad Elmaleh was born in Casablanca, Morocco, on April 19, 1971. His father, David Elmaleh, was a Sephardic Jew of Moroccan nationality, and his mother, Régine Elmaleh (née Cohen), is an Ashkenazi Jew of French-Algerian nationality. Elmaleh has two younger sisters, Judith and Arielle. He grew up in Casablanca until the age of 17, when he moved to Paris to pursue a career in comedy.
Career Gad Elmaleh began his career as a stand-up comedian in the early 1990s. He quickly gained popularity and soon became one of the most successful comedians in France. In 1996, he released his first one-man show, "Décalages", which was a huge success. He followed up with several other successful one-man shows, including "La vie normale" (2001), "Papa est en haut" (2004), and "Gad Gone Wild" (2011).
In addition to his stand-up career, Elmaleh has also appeared in a number of films and television shows. He made his film debut in 1995 with the film "Salut cousin!", and has since appeared in such films as "The Valet" (2006), "Midnight in Paris" (2011), and "The Brand New Testament" (2015). Personal life Gad Elmaleh is married to Charlotte Casiraghi, the daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco. They have one child together, a son named Raphaël Elmaleh. Elmaleh also has a son, Noé Elmaleh, from a previous relationship with Anne Brochet.
Awards and honors Gad Elmaleh has won numerous awards for his work, including three César Awards, two Molière Awards, and a Globe de Cristal Award. In 2015, he was named a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour, which is one of the highest civilian awards in France.
