Helena Paparizou
Helena Paparizou (born Helena Paparizou; Greek: Έλενα Παπαρίζου; born 31 January 1982) is a Greek-Swedish singer, songwriter, television personality, and actress. She rose to fame as a member of the Swedish pop duo Antique, with whom she represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001, finishing third. After the group disbanded in 2003, Paparizou embarked on a solo career, signing a recording contract with Sony Music Greece.
Paparizou's debut solo album, "Protereotita" (2004), was a commercial success in Greece and Cyprus, spawning the hit singles "Anapandites Kliseis" and "Treli Kardia". She achieved international recognition in 2005 when she won the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song "My Number One", which became a hit across Europe. Her subsequent albums, "Iparhi Logos" (2006), "Vrisko To Logo Na Zo" (2008), and "Giro Apo T' Oneiro" (2010), were also successful in Greece and Cyprus.
Paparizou has represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest three times, in 2001, 2005, and 2018. She is the only Greek artist to have won the contest, and one of only two artists to have represented the same country three times. She has also hosted the contest twice, in 2006 and 2013.
In addition to her music career, Paparizou has appeared in several films and television shows. She made her acting debut in the 2004 film "Opa!", and has since appeared in the films "The Bachelor" (2007), "The Little England" (2013), and "Adults in the Room" (2019). She has also been a judge on the Greek reality television shows "Super Idol Greece" (2004-2005), "Just the 2 of Us" (2007-2008), and "The Voice of Greece" (2014-2015).
Paparizou is one of the most successful and popular singers in Greece and Cyprus. She has won numerous awards, including six Arion Music Awards, three MAD Video Music Awards, and two MTV Europe Music Awards. She has also been awarded the Order of the Phoenix, the highest honor bestowed by the Greek government.
