Petra Vlhová is a Slovak alpine skier who competes in slalom, giant slalom, super-G, and downhill. She is the reigning Olympic champion in slalom, having won the gold medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Vlhová is also a two-time world champion in slalom, having won the title in 2019 and 2021. She has also won the overall World Cup title twice, in 2020 and 2021.

Vlhová was born in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia, on June 13, 1995. She began skiing at the age of 3 and started competing in FIS races at the age of 15. She made her World Cup debut in December 2012 and scored her first podium finish in January 2015. Vlhová won her first World Cup race in January 2016 and has since gone on to win 26 World Cup races in total.
