Tamim Iqbal
Tamim Iqbal Khan (born 20 March 1989) is a Bangladeshi international cricketer and the current ODI captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team. He is a left-handed opening batsman and a part-time off-spinner. He is one of the most successful batsmen in Bangladesh's history.
Early life and domestic career
Tamim was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh. He made his first-class debut for Chittagong Division in 2004–05, and his List A debut for Bangladesh A in 2005–06. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in 2007.
International career
Tamim has played over 100 Tests, 200 ODIs, and 70 T20Is for Bangladesh. He has scored over 5,000 runs in Tests, 8,000 runs in ODIs, and 1,500 runs in T20Is. He is the leading run-scorer for Bangladesh in all three formats.
Batting style
Tamim is a left-handed opening batsman. He is known for his aggressive batting style and his ability to hit sixes. He is also a good fielder and has taken several catches in the outfield.
