Eduardo Vargas is a Chilean professional footballer who plays for Atlético Mineiro and the Chile national team. He is known for his pace, dribbling skills, and goalscoring ability.

Vargas began his career with Cobreloa in 2006. He quickly established himself as one of the most promising young players in Chile, and he was soon called up to the national team. In 2011, he moved to Universidad de Chile, where he won four league titles and two cup titles.

In 2013, Vargas moved to Europe to join Napoli. He spent two seasons with the Italian club, but he struggled to adapt to the Serie A. In 2015, he moved to Grêmio in Brazil. He had a successful season with the Brazilian club, helping them to win the Copa do Brasil.

In 2016, Vargas moved to Valencia in Spain. He spent one season with the Spanish club, but he was not a regular starter. In 2017, he moved to Tigres UANL in Mexico. He helped the Mexican club to win the Liga MX Apertura title in 2017.

In 2018, Vargas moved to Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia. He helped the Saudi club to win the Saudi Professional League title in 2018 and the AFC Champions League in 2019.

In 2020, Vargas returned to Brazil to join Atlético Mineiro. He helped the Brazilian club to win the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A title in 2021.

Vargas has also been a key player for the Chile national team. He has represented his country at two FIFA World Cups and three Copa América tournaments. He was a member of the Chile team that won the Copa América in 2015 and 2016.
