David Carreira
David Carreira (born September 30, 1991) is a Portuguese singer, songwriter, and actor. He is the son of Portuguese singer Tony Carreira.
Carreira began his career in 2011 with the release of his debut album, N.1. The album was a commercial success, selling over 20,000 copies in Portugal. His second album, A força está em nós (2012), was also a commercial success, selling over 15,000 copies.
In 2013, Carreira released his third album, Everything Is Possible. The album was a critical and commercial success, selling over 100,000 copies in Portugal. It also spawned the hit singles "Tudo o que eu te dou" and "A minha vida".
In 2014, Carreira released his fourth album, 7. The album was a commercial success, selling over 50,000 copies in Portugal. It also spawned the hit singles "Não me faças esperar" and "Tu e eu".
In 2015, Carreira released his fifth album, 30. The album was a commercial success, selling over 40,000 copies in Portugal. It also spawned the hit singles "Hoje é a nossa vida" and "Não voltes mais".
In 2016, Carreira released his sixth album, #6. The album was a commercial success, selling over 30,000 copies in Portugal. It also spawned the hit singles "Num instante" and "Fica comigo".
In 2017, Carreira released his seventh album, 777. The album was a commercial success, selling over 25,000 copies in Portugal. It also spawned the hit singles "Abre o teu coração" and "Vamos viver tudo".
In 2018, Carreira released his eighth album, 1. The album was a commercial success, selling over 20,000 copies in Portugal. It also spawned the hit singles "O meu amor" and "És tu".
In 2019, Carreira released his ninth album, 9. The album was a commercial success, selling over 15,000 copies in Portugal. It also spawned the hit singles "A minha história" and "Tu és a minha vida".
In 2020, Carreira released his tenth album, 10. The album was a commercial success, selling over 10,000 copies in Portugal. It also spawned the hit singles "Tudo o que eu sempre quis" and "És o meu tudo".
In addition to his music career, Carreira has also appeared in several films and television shows. He made his film debut in 2013 in the film A Bela e o Monstro. He has also appeared in the television shows Morangos com Açúcar (2013–2014) and A Única Mulher (2015).
Carreira is one of the most popular singers in Portugal. He has won numerous awards, including the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Portuguese Act (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), the Globo de Ouro Award for Best Male Singer (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), and the Prémio 5 Estrelas for Best Male Singer (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018).
