Valon Behrami
Valon Behrami (born 19 April 1985) is a Swiss former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is the former captain of the Albania national team.
Behrami began his career at Lugano, before moving to Genoa in 2003. He spent two seasons at the club, making 48 appearances and scoring 2 goals. In 2005, he joined Lazio, where he spent four seasons, making 119 appearances and scoring 10 goals. In 2008, he moved to West Ham United, where he spent two seasons, making 37 appearances and scoring 2 goals. In 2011, he joined Fiorentina, where he spent three seasons, making 84 appearances and scoring 4 goals. In 2014, he moved to Hamburg, where he spent two seasons, making 55 appearances and scoring 3 goals. In 2016, he moved to Watford, where he spent one season, making 24 appearances and scoring 1 goal. In 2017, he moved to Udinese, where he spent two seasons, making 47 appearances and scoring 2 goals. In 2019, he moved to Sion, where he spent one season, making 18 appearances and scoring 1 goal.
Behrami has also represented Switzerland at the international level, making 83 appearances and scoring 2 goals. He represented Switzerland at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the 2008 UEFA European Championship, the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and the 2016 UEFA European Championship.
