Biography

Rajinikanth is an Indian actor, film producer, screenwriter, and politician who works primarily in Tamil cinema. Regarded as one of the most popular and influential actors of Indian cinema, he has been honored with several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Actor, the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Tamil, and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor.

Rajinikanth was born in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, to Marathi parents. He dropped out of school at a young age and worked as a bus conductor and a coolie. He was later inspired to become an actor after watching a film starring Sivaji Ganesan. Rajinikanth made his acting debut in the 1975 Tamil film Apoorva Raagangal.

Rajinikanth rose to fame in the early 1980s with his roles in films such as Billa (1980), Thillu Mullu (1981), and Velaikkaran (1987). He also gained popularity in Telugu cinema with films such as Khaidi (1983) and Sitarameyya Gari Manavudu (1989). Rajinikanth's films often feature action, romance, and comedy, and he is known for his charismatic personality and unique style of dialogue delivery.

Some of Rajinikanth's most notable films include Enthiran (2010), Sivaji (2007), Muthu (1995), Padayappa (1999), and Baasha (1995). He has also starred in several Hindi films, including Andha Kanoon (1983), Aatank Hi Aatank (1995), and Hum (1991).
