Club career

Díaz began his career with Rosario Central in Argentina. He made his debut for the club in 2004 and quickly became a regular in the starting lineup. He helped Rosario Central win the Argentine Primera División championship in 2008.

In 2010, Díaz moved to Barcelona SC in Ecuador. He quickly became one of the most popular players in the club's history. He helped Barcelona SC win the Ecuadorian Serie A championship in 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2021. He also helped the club reach the final of the Copa Sudamericana in 2016.

In 2017, Díaz moved to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia. He spent one season with the club before returning to Barcelona SC in 2018.

International career

Díaz has represented Argentina at the U-20 level. He was part of the team that won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2005.

Díaz has also been called up to the Argentina national team, but he has yet to make his debut for the team.
