Nadech Kugimiya
Nadech Kugimiya (Thai: ณเดชน์ คูกิมิยะ; born December 17, 1991) is a Thai actor, model, and singer. He is best known for his roles in the television dramas Duang Jai Akkanee (2010), Game Rai Game Rak (2011), Ruk Pratthana (2012), The Rising Sun Series (2014), Leh Lub Salum (2016), and The Crown Princess (2018).
Early life and education
Nadech Kugimiya was born on December 17, 1991, in Khon Kaen, Thailand. He is the son of a Japanese father, Yoshio Kugimiya, and a Thai mother, Sudarat Kugimiya. He has an older brother, Kenta.
Nadech attended high school at Assumption College Thonburi. He then went on to study at Chulalongkorn University, where he majored in communication arts.
Career
Nadech began his career as a model in 2009. He made his acting debut in the 2010 television drama Duang Jai Akkanee. The drama was a huge success and made Nadech a household name.
Nadech has since starred in numerous television dramas, including Game Rai Game Rak (2011), Ruk Pratthana (2012), The Rising Sun Series (2014), Leh Lub Salum (2016), and The Crown Princess (2018). He has also appeared in several films, including ATM: Er Rak Error (2012), Pee Mak (2013), and Brother of the Year (2018).
Nadech is one of the most popular actors in Thailand. He has won numerous awards, including the Asian Television Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (2012) and the Mekhala Awards for Best Leading Actor (2014).
Personal life
Nadech is in a relationship with fellow actress Yaya Urassaya Sperbund. The couple have been dating since 2010.
Nadech is also a philanthropist. He has donated money to various charities, including the Red Cross Society of Thailand and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Thailand.
