Early life and career
Mario Lemina was born in Libreville, Gabon. He began his career with local club US Bitam, before moving to France to join Lorient in 2011. He made his debut for Lorient in the 2012–13 season, and quickly established himself as a regular starter.
Marseille
In 2013, Lemina joined Marseille for a fee of €4 million. He made his debut for the club in the 2013–14 season, and quickly became a key player in the team. He helped Marseille win the Coupe de la Ligue in 2015, and was named the club's Player of the Year for the 2014–15 season.
Juventus
In 2015, Lemina joined Juventus for a fee of €18.5 million. He made his debut for the club in the 2015–16 season, and quickly became a regular starter. He helped Juventus win the Serie A title in 2016 and 2017, and was also named the club's Player of the Year for the 2016–17 season.
Southampton
In 2017, Lemina joined Southampton for a fee of €18.4 million. He made his debut for the club in the 2017–18 season, and quickly became a regular starter. He helped Southampton reach the FA Cup final in 2018.

In 2021, Lemina joined Fulham on loan from Galatasaray. He made his debut for the club in the 2021–22 season, and quickly became a regular starter. He helped Fulham win the Championship play-offs and promotion to the Premier League.

In 2022, Lemina joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a free transfer. He made his debut for the club in the 2022–23 season, and quickly became a regular starter.
International career
Lemina made his debut for the Gabon national team in 2013. He has represented his country at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015 and 2017.
