Linda Chung
Linda Chung Ka-yan (born 9 September 1984) is a Hong Kong singer and actress. She is best known for her roles in the TVB dramas Heart of Greed (2007), The Gem of Life (2008), Moonlight Resonance (2008), Rosy Business (2009), Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir! (2011), Witness Insecurity (2012), Brother's Keeper (2013), The Hippocratic Crush II (2013) and Line Walker (2014).
Early life and career
Chung was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and moved to Hong Kong with her family when she was one year old. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
Chung joined the 2004 Miss Hong Kong Pageant and won the second runner-up prize. She subsequently signed a contract with TVB and began her acting career.
Acting career
Chung made her acting debut in the 2004 TVB drama A Handful of Love. She gained recognition for her role as Ching Siu-yu in the 2007 drama Heart of Greed. She went on to star in several other popular TVB dramas, including The Gem of Life (2008), Moonlight Resonance (2008), Rosy Business (2009), Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir! (2011), Witness Insecurity (2012), Brother's Keeper (2013), The Hippocratic Crush II (2013) and Line Walker (2014).
In 2015, Chung left TVB and signed a contract with China Star Entertainment Group. She made her film debut in the 2016 film L Storm.
Singing career
Chung released her debut EP, A Moment, in 2007. She has since released four more EPs and three studio albums. Chung has also won numerous awards for her singing, including the TVB Jade Solid Gold Best Female Singer Award in 2010.
Personal life
Chung married fellow actor Philip Ng in 2015. They have two children together.
