Luka Modrić

Luka Modrić (born 9 September 1985) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for La Liga club Real Madrid and captains the Croatia national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time, Modrić is known for his vision, passing, dribbling skills, and ability to control the tempo of play.

Modrić began his career at Dinamo Zagreb, where he won three league titles and two Croatian Cups. He moved to Tottenham Hotspur in 2008 and spent four seasons with the club, making 160 appearances and scoring 17 goals. In 2012, he joined Real Madrid for a fee of £30 million.

Modrić has won numerous trophies with Real Madrid, including five Champions League titles, three La Liga titles, and two Copa del Rey titles. He was named UEFA Men's Player of the Year Award in 2018 and won the Ballon d'Or in the same year, becoming the first Croatian player to win the award.
